I was pleased to be in the audience this evening at the Meyerson. The program was very well received - obvious by the applause. So I wanted to add my personal applause as well! Thank you for entertaining and educating Dallas.
We have so much to thank you for! First and foremost, you bring so much joy into the lives of our Seniors with your varied talents and the beautiful music you create. Secondly, for your amazing volunteerism and most of all , for the wonderful gift of your friendship to the Irving Senior Arts Program. It was an amazing evening of superb musicianship under Randol Bass's very capable directorship....the music was entertaining and flawlessly executed. I know you are proud of being associated with this band. I thought you did a good job orchestrating the event... I hope you did well with the silent auction. The warm-up band was great, too. Thanks again for another opportunity to hear this fine wind ensemble and, of course, the Turtle Creek Corale. Please extend our thanks to your director and each of your members. There was a lot of talk about the theramin, the chorus and the violinist. Tony and his harmonica were a hit! They were all very complimentary about the entertaining program and musicianship. Our first trombone, a Julliard grad, commented on how tight the band was.
It was a great concert. Adam made that trumpet sound like a flute at times. So smooth and later so WOW!
It was also neat to be able to hear 2 songs that have never been presented before. That pianist's work was fabulous.
Revisit the poster for this concert. From the concert's host, WFAA's Gary Cogill ...
Wow... just wow...
I'm still giddy over the evening. Thank you for the opportunity.
It would be a privilege to host again sometime... keep me in mind. It was just thrilling for me...
You nailed the music.
From members of the audience ...
